The sensory Xperience is more than a sensory room - our purpose-built multi-sensory centre offers six different areas for sensory play, regulation, stimulation and fun. Visitors can explore freely, enjoy our specialised sensory resources or practice activities recommended by their Occupational Therapist.
We welcome individuals, families, schools, community groups and care settings, with private sessions also available.
Created from our own lived experience as parents of two autistic sons, the centre was designed to provide the kind of welcoming, inclusive environment we want for our own family - somewhere visitors can be themselves and enjoy themselves without judgement, while parents and carers can feel comfortable, supported and considered too.

As a family-run project, we provide a friendly, user focused, and easily accessible resource. As the first multi-sensory centre of its kind in Armagh, and one of the only multi-sensory centres countrywide, we are proud to provide something different, innovative and inclusive.
The variety of sensory rooms provide sensory stimulation and regulation and offer an ideal environment for sensory seekers and those with sensory processing difficulties. We are also here to provide advice and support to parents and carers where we can.
Our multi-sensory centre offers users access to 4 sensory rooms, each with different functions, while parents and carers are considered too, with a designated area to relax and enjoy a complimentary cuppa while their loved ones enjoy the centre. The centre also features a dedicated room for birthday parties and other celebrations.
Our lived experience, together with the knowledge gained from designing, building and operating our own multi-sensory centre, has naturally developed into the design and manufacture of our own sensory equipment and resources. We provide everything from individual and bespoke resources to the design and installation of complete sensory rooms and environments for families, schools and organisations across Ireland.

A sensory room, or multi-sensory room, is a specially designed environment designed that uses a range of sensory equipment and resources to stimulate, develop and relax the senses. Sensory rooms can incorporate visual, tactile, auditory and movement-based experiences and can be adapted to suit a wide range of sensory needs.

Sensory rooms can provide a wide range of benefits, including supporting sensory and emotional regulation, reducing anxiety and stress, managing sensory overload and improving focus and concentration.
Sensory resources can support the development of language, cognitive and motor skills, while encouraging users to explore, engage and develop their senses.
These resources and environments can benefit people with a wide range of additional needs and disabilities, as well as those with sensory processing difficulties and neurodivergent conditions.

Sensory integration is the way our brain receives, organises, processes, and responds to information from our senses. This includes sight, sound, touch, smell, taste and smell, as well as our sense of movement, balance and body awareness.
For some people, processing sensory information can be challenging, resulting in them seeking more sensory input or becoming overwhelmed by certain sensations. Sensory environments and resources can provide opportunities to explore and respond to sensory input in a safe and controlled way.

Book an individual, family or private session at our award-winning multi-sensory centre. Admission grants use of all four multi-sensory rooms and access to our carers area. Our variety of rooms cater for a wide range of needs and are suitable for all ages and abilities. Parents/carers gain free admission and get a complimentary cuppa to enjoy while their loved ones explore and play.

Community groups and organisations, big or small, can reserve our multi-sensory centre for exclusive use with access to all four multi-sensory rooms our carers area. For a more tailored Xperience we can provide focused workshops and activities, with food options also available on request.

We cater for birthday parties and other special occasions, offering an inclusive celebration for people with additional needs together with their family and friends.

We welcome schools and colleges for visits tailored to pupils and students with special educational needs (SEN). Explore our four multi-sensory rooms, with session lengths and activities tailored to your group.
The Party Room can also be reserved for snack or lunch breaks, with food options available for pupils and staff.

We offer individual and group bookings for care home and assisted living residents and have also provided our services to a number of Health & Social Care Trusts.
We also offer monthly Day Opportunities sessions once a month, providing an inclusive and enjoyable experience for adults of all ages and abilities.
