Our Rooms:
-
The Green Room
This is the first of our rooms you will encounter on your visit. Named simply due to its colour, The Green Room contains our specially selected, extensive range of equipment. This space has been designed to enhance sensory stimulation, produce a calming effect, and it covers multiple senses. Some equipment here includes a supersized interactive bubbletube, fiber optics, sound activated LED sensory panel, infinity light mirrors, giant piano keypads, projectors and various tactile boards.
-
The Calming Room
Realising that new experiences can sometimes be daunting for some, The Calming Room offers a small, quiet and discreet place to escape for a few moments of privacy, quiet time and calm. With much less light than our other areas and with only limited visual stimulation, in here we have a blackout tent, a beanbag, weighted blankets, a soothing projector, mini infinity light mirror, fiber optics and various fidget toys.
-
The Interactive Room
Located right in the centre of The sensory Xperience, is our most exciting, and most high tech room. Within the four white walls of The Interactive Room, which covers 200 square feet, we use a state of the art interactive projector equipped with the latest software technology, in order to simulate an array of vivid environments and provide a variety of immersive, stimulating activities sure to suit all ages and abilities.
-
The Blue Zone
The Blue Zone is about the same size as The Green Room, and is an open planned multi-sensory room. Our equipment in this room includes a lot of equipment that is used by occupational therapists in providing therapeutic sessions and sensory integration activities. Visitors can avail of sensory circuits, sensory play sessions, and messy play in this area. The Blue Zone can also be used for welcoming school outings, group community events, pre-school and after school activities.
-
The Party Room
The Party Room is set for hosting parties and special occasions, exclusively for people with disabilities and additional needs, their siblings, friends and schoolmates. Our parties are “everything organised” in that we will assist with as much organising as we can, such as collecting cake, balloons, etc, we provide party bags and a free gift is available for the birthday celebrant.. This room will also be used for hosting workshops and carer events.
-
Carers Corner
The final area of The Sensory Xperience consists of a small seating area where parents/carers can enjoy some light refreshments and gives visitors a chance to chat. The area also includes a small information station containing leaflets from organisations offering help and support to families and carers including details of various and wide ranging benefit entitlements. This area sits adjacent to both The Blue Zone and our Party Room. Take a seat!
Services we proudly offer:
-
Book individual or small group slots to hire out our brilliant new multi-sensory rooms. Our variety of exciting rooms are suitable for all ages of people with additional needs. Parents/carers are given free admission. Contact us to book or find out more.
-
A more tailored service that we provide at various times during the week with our schedule being updated regularly. These include a variety of stimulating activities that I have planned by utilising my resources and training as a sensory practitioner with guidance provided by an Occupational Therapist (OT)
-
We will also be catering for parties or special occasions for people with additional needs. We also are incorporating #everythingorganised in our party events, so if you book a party with us we do as much of the organising as we can, little jobs such as collecting the balloons, collecting the cake, etc.
-
We can accommodate all ages of students with special needs on field trips. Schools and colleges can choose from a variety of multi-room settings, or we can lead sensory activities, handle a messy agenda, or plan unique events. Our safeguarding credentials are all in place.
-
Community groups and organisations can reserve our multi-sensory rooms to simply explore, or for a more tailored Xperience we also run more focused workshops and activities while we can also host community events.
-
We can offer day care sessions and activities for groups with disabilities and additional needs. As with all of the services we offer this is available to people of all ages along with their carers or support workers.
